The ALFNFLS Target Curves represent the tonal foundation of the ALFNFLS listening framework, developed through years of continuous exploration, listening validation, and refinement. Designed specifically for in-ear monitors, these curves prioritize tonal correctness, monitoring consistency, and long-session listening sustainability rather than exaggerated coloration or trend-driven tuning philosophies. Every frequency relationship is shaped with deliberate consideration for balance, coherence, and natural musical presentation.
Within this framework, the target architecture is presented through two complementary variants: the Original Target Curve and the Compensated Target Curve. While both share the same underlying design philosophy, they provide different perspectives on the same tonal objective. The Original Target Curve serves as the primary reference that defines the intended frequency relationships across the audible spectrum, while the Compensated Target Curve introduces a controlled low-frequency support layer to reinforce foundation and perceived acoustic weight without altering the core tonal identity. Together, they form a unified reference system intended to support critical listening, tonal evaluation, and long-term musical engagement.
